Terms
Terms of participation.
The rules for being on the panel, in plain language. They sit alongside the privacy policy, which says what we hold and why.

Who you are dealing with
Plumbline Report is published by Synap AI Pty Ltd (ABN 86 695 003 653). "We" and "us" in these terms means Synap AI Pty Ltd.
Joining
- You must be 18 or over.
- One account per person, registered with your own email address and your own mobile number.
- Your answers must be your own. Do not answer on someone else's behalf, and do not use scripts or other automated tools to join or vote.
- Keep your password and the links in our emails to yourself. The daily email's link can record a vote for you.
Your answers
You can record one answer a day for each election you follow. It locks when you save it. Missing a day is fine; it is recorded as a gap, never filled in for you.
You agree that we may count your answers in the figures we publish. We only ever publish aggregates, under the rules on the method page, and never anything that shows how an individual voted.
What we may do
We may suspend an account, and leave its answers out of our figures, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms — for example one person running several accounts. If we do, you can contact us to ask why.
We may change or pause the panel, or stop running it. If that affects you, we will tell you by email.
Leaving
You can pause the daily email, stop it, or delete your account at any time from your account page. What happens to your information when you leave is set out under Retention in the privacy policy.
What the figures are, and are not
Our figures describe an opt-in panel. They are not weighted, they are not a forecast, and they are not advice of any kind. We take care over them, but we do not promise that the site will always be available or that published figures are free of error; where we find an error we correct it openly, on the method page.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its figures.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you by email before the change applies.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
